My Inspiration for “I love the World because…”

My inspiration is a smart, witty, and warm hearted seven year old boy. He is my nephew Michael. Even though we live miles apart we still  find ways to spend special moments together; one of which changed my life. It was the August visit in 2007 that he unknowingly gave me the inspiration to write the book “I Love the World Because…”, a concept my sister and I had contemplated for a year. I noticed he would begin his sentences by saying, “Judy, did you know…”, every time he wanted to state a fact about his surroundings, places he had visited, or things he had learned and at times it was hard to keep up. What amazed me most was his innocent perception of life. He reminded me that life can be simple, colorful, and exciting. It was his understanding and perspective of the world that inspired me to begin my story…
